1. Start with the job the page must do

A page becomes easier to rank and easier to cite when its purpose is obvious in the title, first heading, opening paragraph, and internal links. Choose one primary search intent, then make the page the clearest satisfying answer for that intent instead of trying to cover every adjacent keyword.

  • Write a one-sentence page promise before drafting: who is this for, what decision does it help with, and what will the reader know or do next?
  • Use one descriptive H1, a concise introduction, and headings that mirror the questions a real reader would ask.
  • Keep nearby topics as supporting sections or related pages; do not create several near-duplicates that compete for the same intent.
